Counseling typically occurs for a limited time to address specific needs. In addition to scheduled meetings, expect outside assignments (reading, journaling, etc.).
Every follower of Jesus needs help. Our counseling team provides one-on-one care when the struggles of life require specific time and attention. Our team is equipped to provide counseling for several common struggles: depression, anxiety, anger, shame, guilt, eating disorders, sexual purity, and addiction.
Pre-marital counsel is a critical experience on the journey toward marriage. Marriage provides unique joys and challenges for a Christian couple. Our pre-marital counseling fosters intentional conversations that clarify expectations so that a couple can meet the joys and challenges of marriage in light of the gospel.
Trauma is an especially difficult aspect of suffering. Yet the gospel provides hope and healing for those who have experienced various forms of trauma. We have team members who are trained to provide biblical counsel to trauma.
God intended the family to be a place of joy, intimacy, and blessing. Yet, because of remaining sin, family life can also provide some of the most difficult challenges, deepest hurts, and strongest temptations. Most marriages and family will need help along the way. Our team is equipped to provide marriage and family counseling in both one-on-one and group settings.
GCF counseling ministry includes men and women, staff and non-staff, who have completed various levels of counseling training and offer care for our members and attenders.
Please read and complete the counseling agreement and personal background forms as part of your request for counseling.
